Michael Joyce

Michael Joyce is a FanDuel TV racing host, analyst and reporter. He is also a Board Member for Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, a position he has held since 2016.

Michael has spent his entire professional career in horse racing, starting his first job at Wyoming Downs at age 12. Upon graduation from The University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001, Michael moved to Los Angeles to take a job as production assistant at the fledgling racing network TVG. In 2021, Michael celebrated his 20th year with the network as one of their premier broadcasters, having covered racing everywhere from Del Mar and Saratoga to Meydan in Dubai and Royal Randwick in Sydney, Australia.

Michael is also very proud of his work with the PDJF, a 501(c)3 non-profit charity that cares for the permanently disabled jockeys that have lost their faculties to racing related injuries. He has been a Board Member since 2016 and has been heavily involved with some of their most lucrative fundraisers including the PDJF Telethon and the Riders Up West: Jockey Karaoke in Del Mar.

Michael is the youngest of 13 children. His father, Joe Joyce, was a racing executive that helped pioneer many world changing innovations including simulcast wagering and the sport’s first million dollar race, The Arlington Million. Michael lives in Orange County, CA with his wife, Dena and their son Luke and his 2 children, Sammy and Declan, from a prior marriage.
