Duel for a Difference: Our Latest Efforts

It’s no secret that we are sports obsessed here at FanDuel and, with football well underway and the basketball season taking off, it’s important for us to take the time to give back to our community. Over the past several weeks, we teamed up with the Victor Green Foundation — proud partners in providing opportunity for America’s underserved youth — and the American Cancer Society to offer two contests on our site that were slightly different than the others.

As proud sponsors of the 2015 Victor Green Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic, we ran a one-day NFL contest where we matched 100% of the entry fees with a donation to Dare2B, a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering homeless children to break the cycle of poverty.

The second campaign was for Breast Cancer Awareness month. During the month of October, we ran four NFL contests (one each Thursday), raising over $50K that we matched in a donation to the American Cancer Society. In both of these contests, we also gave out prizes, including autographed merchandise and FanDuel swag, to the top 25 winners…everybody won.

Thank you to all of our users who participated in these Duel for a Difference contests. You can expect we’ll be doing more to give back to the community in the weeks and months to come.
