FanDuel Group Appoints Sarah Butterfass As Chief Product Officer
October 14 — NEW YORK– FanDuel Group announced today that Sarah Butterfass will join the company as Chief Product Officer. Butterfass will lead FanDuel’s world-class product development organization, reporting to FanDuel Group CEO Matt King, effective October 19.
Butterfass brings more than 20 years of experience spearheading and executing product strategies, leading product organizations, and overseeing new product launches with a focus on customer engagement. She most recently served as Chief Product Officer at Groupon, the online marketplace company. As the top product development leader at Groupon, she oversaw the company’s global product organization in developing the future of the Groupon experience for consumers and businesses across all channels. In addition, she led vertical strategy for Groupon categories including Things to Do, Live, Travel, Food & Drink, Beauty & Wellness, and Groupon’s Bookable marketplace.
Before joining Groupon in 2018, Sarah served as Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Experience at E*TRADE, an electronic trading platform. In this role, she led product teams for all of E*TRADE, including etrade.com, mobile, advanced trading platforms, and all product verticals, including Trading, Investing, and Stock Plan Participants.
Prior to joining E*TRADE, Butterfass was at Orbitz from 2011 to 2016, where she was Vice President of Customer Loyalty, leading customer loyalty for Orbitz Worldwide with a primary focus on customer acquisition and retention for Orbitz Rewards. She also held a variety of product leadership roles during her time there.

Butterfass holds a master’s of business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and she earned a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from Northwestern University.
Butterfass will be based in FanDuel’s New York offices.
