FanDuel Group Launches New Games Ahead of Pro Football’s Draft

April 20, 2020, New York, NY — FanDuel Group today launched a series of sports betting markets and fantasy contests to celebrate the upcoming pro football Draft.

Presenting fans with new ways to engage with the Draft, FanDuel’s offerings include:

  • Robust Sportsbook markets: The FanDuel Sportsbook has one of the most robust Draft offerings among legal sports betting operators. In New Jersey alone, the FanDuel Sportsbook has seen a 3X increase in early betting on the Draft year on year. The most popular Draft markets include “Number One Overall Pick” and “Draft Position of Former Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa.”
  • Unique promotions: FanDuel is also offering several unique promotions for new FanDuel Sportsbook customers including a $500 risk-free bet and a special market for former LSU QB Joe Burrow to be selected #1 overall with odds at +200 (max bet $25). Burrow is -7000 to be selected number one overall in the draft. Draft betting on the FanDuel Sportsbook is available for residents and visitors to New Jersey, Indiana and West Virginia (not available in PA).
  • Predict the Draft fantasy contest: For those who think they know how the draft will shake out, FanDuel Group is introducing the “$10K Predict The Draft – Fuel The Frontline” freeplay contest. Fans can predict the 10 players drafted in order — without a salary cap — and will get two points for every correct pick, as well as .5 points for any player chosen within one spot of their correct draft position.
  • Draft Challenge: FanDuel is offering a second fantasy contest called the $10K Draft Challenge Free Play, where players build the ultimate team of players based on draft position. The players selected will earn points for when they are selected over the three full days of the draft. Similar to fantasy contests for football or baseball, players will choose their fantasy team wisely and balance their team against a salary cap. There are also team and player bonuses for being involved in trades. Fans can draft teams, try to score the most points and win a share of $10,000.

In addition, in honor of the 85th anniversary of the Draft, FanDuel Group is committing $85,000 in donations to Frontline Foods, a grassroots organization that raises money from the community to pay local restaurants to prepare meals for the heroes responding to the COVID-19 crisis. The company is also donating $1 for every player who enters the “$10K Predict The Draft – Fuel The Frontline” contest to Frontline Foods and other COVID response organizations.

FanDuel Group’s team of experts, JJ Zachariason, Jim Sannes, and Brandon Gdula, will also be delivering expert analysis of the draft via live-streams on the FanDuel YouTube channel. During the first two nights of the draft, they will break down every pick from a sports betting and fantasy football perspective.
