Today’s News: FanDuel Acquired Leading Sports Analytics Platform, numberFire

We have some exciting news. FanDuel has acquired numberFire, a next-generation predictive sports analytics platform that uses proprietary statistics to mine for unprecedented insights that predict player and team performance. As the premier tool for sports fans everywhere, numberFire simplifies stat crunching to provide the most accurate projections in the sports industry, every day.

So, what does the acquisition mean? It’s our intention to build a multiplatform sports entertainment company, and joining numberFire and FanDuel creates the opportunity to meaningfully grow both businesses while providing our users the best tools around. numberFire’s site will remain operational and we will invest in growing the company’s preexisting revenue streams. Simultaneously, numberFire’s information will eventually be incorporated into our platform.

We’re excited to bring Nik Bonnadio, numberFire CEO, and his team on-board. Nik will continue to oversee numberFire as it continues to operate as an independent site and will become FanDuel’s Vice President of Tools and Data Products at FanDuel to seamlessly integrate many of our current offerings into their site.
