WFFC 2015 Recap: Local D.C. Resident Roman Edmond Wins $3 Million Grand Prize

WFFC 2015 Recap: Local D.C. Resident Roman Edmond Wins $3 Million Grand Prize

This past weekend, we hosted our World Fantasy Football Championship in San Diego where 97 qualifiers competed for a total of $12 million in prizes. Washington DC’s very own Roman Edmond took home the championship title and walked away with the $3 million grand prize.

With two Green Bay players in his lineup in the final game of the slate, Edmond jumped from eighth place to the number one position in 60 minutes of game time. Football Hall of Famer and FanDuel investor Joe Montana presented the grand prize at Sunday’s live final viewing party, held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt – where two female competitors finished in the top 10.

In all, three millionaires were made at the event: second place ($1.5 million) went to Steve Light of Marietta, Georgia while the $1 million third place finish was David Aguilar of Honolulu.
